Things

Why is it that the web 2.0 / super-uber-tech aware crowd always forget to CC me on their emails. I recently got turned on to Garr Reynolds and super presentation skills. For those that are as late to dinner as me go read about him here, here and here. His ideas about presentation designs are pretty much out-of-box from the get go. I was blown away at the simplicity by which he tackles his projects. And how much you can digest in a short ammount of time ( for our A.D.D readers, he says to use less words and more images, there now you dont have to read the links - Ed). And he lives in Japan. Gee I feel useful now.

I will be looking for a book in the mail sometime soon.

The Weekend

Weekend — admin @ 3:17 pm

Had a great weekend. Just the right amount of everything. And unless you were blind or dead there was no way you could miss the beautiful weather. The sky was clear all day.

6 Word Stories

Daily — admin @ 1:43 pm

I am a big Ernest Hemingway fan. He was one of Americas (and Frances’ for that matter) finest writers. Always one for sport, in the 1920’s he bet some colleagues $10 that he could write a complete story in just six words. And with that he wrote:

“For sale: Baby shoes, Never worn.”

Needless to say, they payed up. Totally awesome.

Another Month, Another Theme

Somehow or another I have become obsessed with augmenting Wordpress themes. If anyone has noticed (and judging from the volume of traffic, probably not) I have changed the theme of this place about 6 times in the last year. I have to say CSS has become my favorite web technology. I think it is my meticulous nature and the fact that CSSedit makes creating and editing designs so easy. And when I say easy I am not lying. The program is the bees knees. Powerful, simple, pretty. It is robust and at the same time not overly complicated which is a huge plus for designers. Take it for a spin.
